ULTRASOUND LEFT UPPER LIMB:

INDICATION: Patient had history of accidental forearm amputation which was repaired in July 2020.

FINDINGS:
Left median and ulnar nerves were imaged from axilla up to the wrist using a linear high frequency probe.

There are focal areas of diffuse thickening with heterogeneous hypoechoic texture and loss of normal fasciculation in the median and ulnar nerves in the proximal forearm at the site of surgical amputation (marked on skin with a marker). These abnormal areas have a fusiform-nodular configuration on short axis and long axis views, measures 7.9x11mm for median nerve and 6.6x7.3mm for the ulnar nerve. Rest of the median and ulnar nerves proximal and distal to these areas in the arm and forearm are normal.

ULTRASOUND LEFT UPPER LIMB:
TECHNIQUE:
The procedure was performed with small parts high frequency transducer
FINDINGS:
Major arterial and venous system of right upper limb is patent with no definite evidence of thrombosis at present.
Subcutaneous edematous tissue is noted from right elbow joint upto wrist joint medially. No definite localized collection is seen. Findings are suggestive of cellulitis.
